DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) DRAM is a memory chip that depends upon an applied voltage to keep the stored data. It is a type of random access semiconductor memory that is typically used for the data or program code needed by a computer processor to function. Uses: It is used in digital electronics where low-cost and high-capacity computer is required. Facts: 1. DRAM is the most common type of RAM. 2. It typically takes the form of an integrated circuit chip which can consist of dozens to billions of DRAM memory cells. 3. It has more complicated circuitry timing requirements than SRAM.
